Quick Thoughts
I wish I had a need to book a Preferred Hotels & Resorts stay as getting $100 back on a $500+ stay via the Amex Offer and an additional $100 back from Capital One Shopping would be an excellent stack.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the email offer I received was based on an I Prefer website visit back on April 9. While Capital One Shopping sometimes sends increased targeted offers within minutes or hours, I’ve noticed that I’m also getting an increasing number of offers come through about a week after I’ve visited a site. If you’re planning on making any non-time sensitive purchases in the next week or so—whether that’s for Preferred Hotels or any other retailer—it could be worth browsing the site now with the Capital One Shopping browser extension installed. That way you’ll hopefully get a targeted offer emailed to you before you need to make your actual purchase/booking.
